about

For CRUSCH, their hearts reside firmly in their hometown of Melbourne, VIC. It’s where brothers Nick and Michael Thomas first started playing shows together, and where much of their earliest musical influences stemmed from. Benjamin Searle bonded with the brothers at local shows, with CRUSCH then forming when Dan New arrived. Together the group tap into the tense yet anthemic atmosphere that their town has fostered so well.

CRUSCH marry the hook-heavy with a lyrical narrative, covering close personal stories, searching for clarity. While the listener is periodically struck by faint echoes of the familiar, futile is the exercise of conceiving bands as merely sums of their influences. CRUSCH is an earnest artifact of influence through location – the sounds of past and present, but truer perhaps in the stories.
